to Improve Hospital Facilities
A convenient mode for patients to provide online surveys about hospital amenities, care and staff using mobile app, When they are admitted and under treatment in a hospital. The admin web back-end is to perform analytics over rating provided by mobile app users.
Process Followed
Before putting the methodology of application development into practice, it was important for our team to devise a systematic approach and deliver a solution that meets the client's expectations. From emphasizing the UX/UI of the app to identifying the problems and doing beta testing of an app, many more things were required to be programmed accordingly. The QSS team followed an intensive process to create a native and hybrid application.

Problem Statement
The requirement from a major US based hospital chain to implement mobile app based surveys for their patients. The patients can provide their feedback to improve health facilities to meet their expectations by hospital staff. The surveys suppose to be filled on behalf of patients by Doctors, Nusrsing staff, Cargivers. The survey has two categroy for users, Individuals users and Group Account users. The super admin first to set up various hospitals as organization and respective organization admins.
The organization admin can add, delete, modify, approve/disapprove registration requests for both kind of users individuals and group account users. The super admin and organization admin suppose to use web interface while individual and group account users suppose to use mobile app on Android and iOS. The mobile app is developed using hybrid technology React Native.
Feasibility Study
In discussion with customer, it has been observed that there is business requirement of an Ihybrid mobile app for Android and iOS to complete surveys in mobile app for their patients. The other requirements were to provide web interface for super admin and organization admins. The organization admin supposed to notify via email notification containing OVC (organization verification code) to register themselves with the system, when super admin adds them from web back-end. While Group account users supposed to receive web link to register via email notification, when organization adds them from web back-end interface. If organization approves their registration request then Group account user receives temporary password via email notification. Individual users can register themselves directly from mobile app but every time they logs in, if approved by organization admin, they will receive OTP (One time password) as two factor authentication to login to system. Organization admin can approve/disapprove both individual and Group account users.
Following are identified as tasks of highest importance what users can do
- Web interface for super admin and admin while hybrid mobile app for individuals and Group Account users.
- Solution hosting over private Azure cloud
- Email notification during registration process.
- Secure APIs implementation to support mobile app and web back-end.
- Rich UI/UX based Survey forms.
- Cron job implementation to notify users every 24 hours if they started a survey but not completed.
- To mainatain state of incomplete survey where they left by users.
The Challenges
Major challenges while developing the solution:
- Survey completion progress by easy to understand status bar.
- Cron job implementation to auto notify users for incomplete survey.
- Secure transactions of data to maintain patient’s data privacy.
- Maintaining state of incomplete surveys.
- To manage incompleted survey ststaes when users killed/closed the app, app moves to background, logging out of app.
Solution Applied
As an expert company in developing hybrid mobie using React native and web applications, in space of Healthcare and Mankind, we have successfully delivered this fitness mobile app. We presented customer with a detailed project plan to execute this project work to provide utmost transparency on project progress. The functional requirements specification, prepared by us, elaborated every single feature to help graphic designer, developers and testers to stay and develop application as per agreed scope of work. This does also provide customer the desired confidence so that the customer can trust our understanding about the scope of work. We have designed and developed rich app interfaces, integrate the UI components with back-end APIs developed by us.
