Creating an idea of a product's objectives through detailed research is one of the things that help in the success of a mobile app. The product discovery workshop is a phase where the team visualizes the scope of the app and defines features that create value for end-users.
We at QSS conducted a product discovery workshop with the client where we discussed every detail of the application. The main purpose of the workshop was to consider the practices that would be recounted while creating the mobility solution to meet the client’s demand. We also proposed some important questions to the client such as how to implement scheduling functionality, referral management, etc. This entire workshop turned out to be a problem-solving event for all of us.

Problem Statement
Managing scheduled meetings, follow-ups, and communications with leads/inquiries through the old legacy systems i.e. desktop/web application was difficult. Delay in updating real-time communication results and adding new inquiries/prospects to the database resulted in the loss of customers and business.
Feasibility Study
To achieve census goals with the increasing market trends, it is proposed to develop an intuitive mobile & web application. This makes it easier & flexible for employees to access the functionalities of the CRM web marketing module through a mobile application (which runs on iOS and Android). This is to provide seamless conversion of leads into resident’s charts eliminating repetitive data entry.
The focus is to:
- Track real-time communication response, prospect metrics, and employee close rates to evaluate marketing effectiveness.
- Organize leads and referral sources and track marketing communications in real-time.
- Set reminders on communications.

The Challenges
Sometimes developing an application seems nothing less than climbing a mountain. Why? Because there are many common inquiries a developer cross path with while developing a solution. Here are a few of the challenges we faced at QSS -

Solution Applied
Our focus was on capturing the business processes in the web user interface and developing an application with similar functionalities for mobile platforms. To make the mobile application seamlessly integrate and work in sync with the web UI, it was surmised that the best approach was to build a hybrid application that would be compatible with both iOS & Android phones
The hybrid application would ensure ease of Integration by leveraging the device’s internal programming system through an overlay which helps to enable seamless synchronization with other compatible apps. In turn, the hybrid apps work well with the device’s native applications such as email, calling, etc. to ensure a smooth user experience thereby reducing any integration issues for developers.
Needless to mention, hybrid apps reduce the development efforts to a good extent, eventually, reducing the cost.

Final Outcome
We overcame the challenges met while designing the app and created a constructive hybrid application that seamlessly integrates and works in sync with the web UI. The application effectively fulfills the demand for sustaining customer records.
