The Project
Our team collaborated with the client to develop a mobility solution for senior living members and caregivers in elderly-assisted hospitals across the USA. The app allows older patients to access personal assistance and in-home medical care without hospital visits while alerting staff during emergencies. By integrating secure patient records, real-time monitoring, and telemedicine features, we created a scalable, user-friendly solution. From the client’s perspective, the app streamlines 24/7 care, enhances communication with caregivers, and ensures safe, timely medical support for residents.
Process We Followed
After lining up salient details related to the project, our team outlined a course of action that would be followed to develop a comprehensive solution. The process comprised of identification of problems, considering the relevant factors of the solution, taking note of common challenges faced, technology stack to be used and coming up with the outcome in the end.
1. Problem Identification
Older patients face challenges with hospital visits. We developed a secure, scalable app offering in-home medical care, emergency alerts, and resident monitoring, enabling caregivers to provide timely healthcare while enhancing patient convenience.
3. Solution Implementation
We conducted user research, a product discovery workshop, and competitor analysis to align the app with client goals, anticipate challenges, define features, and ensure a user-focused, market-competitive healthcare communication solution.
2. Feasibility Study
To support 24/7 elderly care, we developed an app with a centralized patient database, staff attendance tracking, multiple communication channels, categorized medical services, and a feature for patients to bookmark their preferred doctors.
4. Challenges Faced by QSS
Developing the app involved tackling technical challenges like enabling secure patient communication, virtual consultations, telemedicine, emergency alerts, and robust data security while ensuring seamless interaction between patients and hospital staff.
5. Final Outcome Achieved
The app enables older patients to access medical care easily with secure login, rich UI/UX, chat and alerts, digital medical records, safe treatment info, and clinical decision support—streamlining care and enhancing patient experience.
Problem Identification
Hospital visits are convenient and easy but can we say the same for older people as well? People with old age are more likely to experience certain medical conditions. The reason could be anything but they eventually want to get rid of the inconvenience of hospital visits. We aim to develop an application that helps in carrying out treatment plans as well as providing in-house medication facilities to elderly patients.

Feasibility Study
On-call and shift overtime practices have greatly evolved over the years. The hospital management is aware of on-call requirements for hospital staff working in the elderly care division and dealing with obstetrical, home care, medical/ surgical, anesthesia care, and special care departments of hospitals. Therefore, an app that facilitates 24X7 special care to older people was needed to implement.

Solution Implementation
We began by defining a clear roadmap for the healthcare app, aligning client objectives with market needs. This phase focused on planning features, anticipating challenges, and identifying opportunities to deliver a user-centric, competitive solution.
User research
In order to define the specific goal for our healthcare communication app that also meets the client's expectations, it was needed to know the potential customers. This is why we carried out user research and understood what users who regularly going to use this app think about it.

Product discovery workshop
Product discovery workshopWe kicked off the project with a Product Discovery Workshop. Discovery Workshop is our trusted format for problem-solving. Our cross-functional team spent the first day understanding the client’s vision of the product and the intent behind the application. We established the core values of the product and created User Personas.
