Problem Identification
The inventory management business operates on a global scale with logistics getting delivered to multiple locations. Gone are the days when the shipment of logistics was controlled by computers. People of the 21st century need next-gen management technology. Keeping this in mind, our team decided to develop an app that makes tracking and management of inventory and logistics smooth and effortless.
- Initiate automated packaging.
- Track goods across the supply chain.
- Monitoring trends and identifying areas.
- Detailed analysis and reporting of each good.

Feasibility Study
After identifying the basic problems born in inventory management and logistics solutions whether it is related to shipment track or data entry, we thoroughly examined them all and aimed to overcome the problems by developing the highest important tasks that users can do with the utmost ease.
- Implementation of a responsive web application.
- Efficient packaging system for all the orders.
- Tracking rail cars entry and exit from the warehouse.
- End to end smooth and error-free operations.
Solution Implementation
User research
We carried out user research with the intention to understand the user's vision and their insight on a solution that manages the logistics of inventory. User research was conducted by interviewing people from different logistics departments and those who are in inventory management with the intention to perceive how they operate on a daily basis heading up all the projects.
Product discovery workshop
We were all geared up with the primary idea of the solution and after knowing the user's requirement, all that needed to discuss with the client was the final concept of putting together the application. A workshop, more a kind of a problem-solving session, was conducted where we took in the basic need of customers regarding the project.
It included the discussion on making UI/UX more interactive, what would be the features of the application, how to keep it more user-oriented, and more such things. Our team shared the insights we gathered during the research session and discussed if we can implement things to target more audiences. This overall session helped us understand the client's objective and what they wish for the solution.
Competitor Analysis
If you are into a similar business, it becomes necessary for you to make yourself aware of the strengths and weaknesses of potential competitors. There are many software development companies that have developed inventory management and logistic applications. Therefore, it was our responsibility to figure out how we can make our solution more friendly to users and bring more audience.
Sample Interview Questions
We aimed at developing an app that makes tracking and management of inventory and logistics smooth and effortless.

- Track goods across the supply chain
- Monitoring trends and identifying areas
- Detailed analysis and reporting of each good
- Providing incorporated experience with a simplified user interface
- Executing multi-users activity
- Separating items into various groups for simultaneous stock management
- Rendering built-in search tools
- Coming with barcode scanning support
- Providing detailed analysis and reporting to warehouses
The app's design must ensure a seamless and intuitive user experience while handling complex logistics and inventory data. Key considerations include:
- A user-friendly and responsive interface for quick navigation
- Compatibility across multiple devices and operating systems
- Scalability to support increasing data loads and multiple warehouses
- Secure data encryption and access control to ensure privacy
- Integration with third-party APIs for barcode scanning and reporting tools
- Offline functionality to allow uninterrupted tracking in low-connectivity areas
Inventories, Warehouses & logistics departments are some key staleholders associated with the app.
The app would be available with in-app purchases from Play Store and App Store.
Our internal sales team will be giving the product to customer on trial basis post which they will do the marketing.

The Challenges
While keeping up with the client's demand and targeted users in mind, building the inventory management solution with an accuracy of data was quite tough, our team addressed a few challenges while doing so which are -
- Providing an incorporated experience with a simplified user interface.
- Executing multi-user activity.
- Separating items into various groups for simultaneous stock management.
- Rendering built-in search tools.
- Coming with barcode scanning support.
- Providing detailed analysis and reporting to warehouses.
Final Outcome
We developed a native hybrid mobile application at cross purposes with the challenges that we encountered. Some of the major features of the inventory management and logistic mobile solution are -
- Improved efficiency of work by miles.
- Seamless integration of complex backend process with rich UI/UX.
- Automated process and workflow at every step.
- High data accuracy for an end to an end operation.
- Alerts and validations for accurate data entry.
- Using unique identifiers to classify each inventory item.
