For developing a productive volunteer and disaster management solution, we followed a progressive method that involved single out problems, the feasibility study of a proposed project, and acknowledging the solutions that can be implemented. Taking all these factors into account, we then listed out the challenges encountered by our team and how we overcame the obstacles and acquired the desired outcome.

Natural and man-induced disasters cause emergencies resulting in huge loss of life and cost. Many agencies and volunteers help to deal with situations beyond an extent but a lack of systematic process sometimes puts an end to their approach. Hence, we aim to provide users with an app that results in a planned and rapid response in such emergencies.
After identifying the problems faced by users in such a crisis, an app that aims to reduce or avoid the potential losses from uncertainties by assuring prompt and appropriate assistance to the victims was needed to be crafted. Therefore a solution that functions well in emergency logs and managing incident response came into existence.
The solution you are creating will all be in vain if the product is not user-specific so it is important to understand the audience’s preference. User research was implemented by the QSS team to be aware of the real-world problems confronted by users.
After carrying through meaningful user research, we decided to discuss the design to implement while in an application and many such important things with the client. On that account, we set up a meeting where our team explained the outright viewpoint of the solution to the client by proposing some relevant questions such as significant features for the app, the latest technology trends, etc.
Our team spent the day with the client understanding the intention behind the application. This aided us to gain the necessity of the application in obedience to users. After finalizing the budget, we further discussed the mobile app layout, screen design, and potential customers. This helped us in knowing what kind of product the client actually wants to build and how we will come up with something that will dominate the market.
After putting through the user research and product discovery workshop, it was important for us to discover similar solutions available in the market to make our application highly competitive and dominating.
