The Project

The Reward Point Program app was designed to modernize and simplify customer reward tracking for electricity bill payments in the U.S. The solution not only tracks payments and reward points but also allows users to redeem rewards seamlessly, enhancing overall user engagement. From monitoring points to redeeming them via vouchers or cashback, the app covers every essential aspect of a loyalty program while offering a user-friendly interface.

Process We Followed


After lining up salient details related to the project, our team outlined a course of action that would be followed to develop a comprehensive solution. The process comprised of identification of problems, considering the relevant factors of the solution, taking note of common challenges faced, technology stack to be used and coming up with the outcome in the end. 

1. Problem Identification

The client needed an app to boost loyalty by rewarding electricity bill payments. Goals included smooth reward redemption, converting points into vouchers or cashback, tracking user behavior, and encouraging consistent bill payments.

3. Solution Implementation

We conducted user surveys, interviews, and workshops to shape a user-centric app. Competitor analysis of SBI Freedom Rewards, Landmark Rewards, CRED, and WINDS helped identify best practices and opportunities to differentiate our solution.

2. Feasibility Study

We evaluated the market potential for a reward-based electricity bill payment app. Key features included customer listings with geo-targeting, a loyalty point tracker, an e-wallet for points, and the ability to gift vouchers, all within an elegant web UI.

4. Challenges Faced by QSS

Developing the app meant tackling UX simplification, integrating a points wallet, building flexible reward rules, enabling secure payments, meeting security compliance, and supporting multiple stores for seamless reward redemption.

5. Final Outcome Achieved

Built with React JS, Node.js, MongoDB, and AES encryption, the web app delivers a secure, high-performance experience. Users can track and redeem points, enjoy personalized offers, automated rewards workflows, geo-targeted redemptions, and partner store integration.
